"And Jesus called them to him and said to them...
… whoever would be great among you must be your servant, and whoever would be first among you must be slave of all. For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” — Mark 10:42-45
WELCOME
Servant Church of San Diego desires to share Jesus Christ, God's perfect Servant, with our neighbors. Focused on the glory of God, the gospel of Jesus, and the good of others, we aim to love and serve San Diego’s Greater Logan Heights and its 40,000 residents. Home to the highest number of children per capita in the city, this densely populated urban community is also a beautiful blend of Hispanics, Blacks, and Whites and a unique convergence of families, laborers, artists, servicemen, and entrepreneurs.
OUR CORE VALUES
Servant Church is driven and guided by three Biblical values best summarized by the Apostle Paul in Philippians 2:1-11.
THE GLORY OF GOD — We believe that our ultimate purpose is to glorify God according to His Word. As we declare and display that Jesus Christ is Lord, we will call our neighbors to join us in worshiping and serving the one true God of the Bible (Phil 2:10-11).
THE GOSPEL OF JESUS — We believe that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, intentionally became a human to serve and save sinners through his life, death, and resurrection. As we preach, teach, and share this good news, we trust the Holy Spirit to use the gospel to transform us, our neighbors, and our community (Phil 2:5-9).
THE GOOD OF OTHERS — We believe that God’s grace sets us free to selflessly serve our neighbors as Jesus has served us. As we evangelize, serve, and invest in our community, we will work and pray for the spiritual and physical well-being of our neighbors (Phil 2:1-4).
